Thank You for the Gifts for Seafarers

January 23, 2026

Dear Parishioners of St Philip Evans Parish.

A huge ‘THANK YOU’ for your generosity. The response to my appeal for Christmas Gifts for the seafarers I meet in the Port of Cardiff has fantastic. You have placed so many beautiful presents in the boxes.

Since just before Christmas, I have passed on your gifts to over 70 seafarers and so far I have not used up half of what you have given to me. Many more seafarers this month and next will enjoy the chocolates, sweets and biscuits and be grateful for the toiletries and warm gloves, socks, hats and scarves. The seafarers I have already seen since Christmas have been amazed at your kindness and asked me to pass on their grateful thanks.

On behalf of all the seafarers, thank you all very much indeed. Your gifts and your prayers are very much appreciated.
