Each Minister of the Word fulfils a very important role at Mass, reading from the Lectionary to proclaim the Word and share God’s message to make it clearer to those who are listening.

There is a rota of Readers for the weekend Masses, to include Signers for the Deaf and Voiceover readers for any Deaf Ministers of the Word. We have many Ministers of the Word in the parish, aged 8 to 80! Training is provided.

We have an annual Commissioning Service during the weekend Masses and there is a Retreat Day each year.

New Readers are always welcome. Anyone wishing to be considered should email Barbara Thomas via the email contact form below or send a note addressed to "Barbara Thomas", which can be left on the table in the church foyer or posted through the presbytery letterbox. Barbara will contact you and arrange training.
