Sea Sunday 2026

Thank You for Supporting Seafarers Around the World

A heartfelt thank you for your generous donations to Stella Maris (Apostleship of the Sea) during our Sea Sunday 2026 collection.

Your contributions will help support seafarers and fishers worldwide, providing practical assistance, pastoral care, and a welcome source of comfort for those who spend long periods away from home and their loved ones. We will share the total amount raised as soon as it is available.

Thank you also for the many gifts placed in the collection box in the narthex over the past two weeks. Some of these gifts have already been delivered to visiting crews. The seafarers were both amazed and delighted by your kindness and generosity, and they send their sincere thanks for remembering them.

Your prayers, gifts, and financial support make a real difference to those who work at sea.

Many thanks once again for your continued prayers and support.

We are looking for a practising Catholic who feels called to support our parish school by becoming a Foundation Governor. This is a wonderful ministry that helps shape the spiritual, moral and educational life of our children. Foundation Governors are appointed by the Archdiocese and play a key role in: • Protecting and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school • Supporting and challenging school leaders to ensure high standards • Helping set the school’s strategic direction • Ensuring Gospel values guide policies, decisions and daily life • Strengthening links between the parish, school and Diocese . If you feel called to support Catholic education and help shape the future of our wonderful school community, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the school office for more information - cpower@cardiff.gov.uk

Leaders from across Wales’ major faith communities have written a joint open letter to Members of the Senedd, pledging their prayers and support as the new Senedd begins its term, while warning against rising religious and ethnic prejudice amid what they describe as a period of “significant tension” across the United Kingdom. Find out more and read the letter on the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales website:
