Carmelite Spirituality Summit 2026

This July, the Centre for Applied Carmelite Spirituality at the Carmelite Priory, Oxford is hosting a series of special events to mark two significant anniversaries of Saint John of the Cross:
- 300 years since his canonisation
- 100 years since his proclamation as a Doctor of the Church
Contemplative Creativity & Human Flourishing
10–11 July | Carmelite Priory, Oxford & online
A two-day event featuring thirteen international speakers, including Cardinal Anders Arborelius OCD, Dr Susan Muto, and Fr Iain Matthew OCD.
The summit will explore how contemplative wisdom can renew creativity and restore the human spirit in today’s world.
This gathering is are open to all and available both in person in Oxford and online, offering a unique opportunity to explore the depth and beauty of Carmelite spirituality.
