Save the Date: Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2027

September 14, 2026

18th – 24th July 2027

We are delighted to share that the dates for the Welsh National Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2027 have now been confirmed. The pilgrimage will take place from 18 to 24 July 2027, offering clergy and parishioners from across the Archdiocese an opportunity to come together in prayer, fellowship and faith at one of the world's most beloved pilgrimage destinations.

Lourdes has long been a place of spiritual renewal and hope for pilgrims of all ages. Whether you are a regular pilgrim or considering making the journey for the first time, you will be warmly welcomed. The pilgrimage offers a unique opportunity to deepen your faith, meet fellow Catholics from across Wales, and take part in the rich programme of liturgies and celebrations that make Lourdes such a special experience.

The theme for the pilgrimage is inspired by the words of Scripture:"In those days Mary set out and went with haste..." (Luke 1:39).

Everyone is encouraged to save the date and register their interest early. Further details, including how to sign up, can be found through the pilgrimage website and promotional materials.

For more information or to book your place, visit the pilgrimage website: www.welshnationalpilgrimage.com or email: welshnationalpilgrimage@gmail.com

We are looking for a practising Catholic who feels called to support our parish school by becoming a Foundation Governor. This is a wonderful ministry that helps shape the spiritual, moral and educational life of our children. Foundation Governors are appointed by the Archdiocese and play a key role in: • Protecting and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school • Supporting and challenging school leaders to ensure high standards • Helping set the school’s strategic direction • Ensuring Gospel values guide policies, decisions and daily life • Strengthening links between the parish, school and Diocese . If you feel called to support Catholic education and help shape the future of our wonderful school community, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the school office for more information - cpower@cardiff.gov.uk

Leaders from across Wales’ major faith communities have written a joint open letter to Members of the Senedd, pledging their prayers and support as the new Senedd begins its term, while warning against rising religious and ethnic prejudice amid what they describe as a period of “significant tension” across the United Kingdom. Find out more and read the letter on the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales website:
