Bereavement Support

Supporting those who are grieving or who have been bereaved

Parish Bereavement Group

If a relative or friend has recently died, please let us know the person’s name & Funeral date.  On that particular date, Fr. John will pray for the deceased person when he says his daily Mass.

We are not able to visit the bereaved in the current climate but you are more than welcome to contact us by phone or email, (details below).

Hospital Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy at UHW (University Hospital of Wales) covers all hospitals in the Cardiff area, including Velindre and the Dragon’s Heart Hospital, (at the Principality Stadium).  The Chaplaincy has representatives from all Faiths.

At the moment the Chaplains are not doing bed to bed visits on hospital Wards.  But wearing the correct protective clothing, they are able to visit the dying & pray with/for them, at the present time.

If you have a relative or friend who is dying in hospital, the Chaplaincy Team can be contacted on: 029 2074 3230.  Alternatively, ask the Ward to ‘page a Chaplain’.  Please give the dying person’s name & their Ward.
